Gravure idols who act

Many Japanese actresses have done gravure work, either early in their careers or alongside acting, and a number of today's leading actresses once appeared regularly in magazine photo spreads. The genre also has a long link with tokusatsu hero series: heroines and villains from the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider franchises have often moved into magazine gravure, and since 2020 Weekly Playboy has published special issues produced with Kamen Rider heroines.
